FH / Kenya (Food for the Hungry), a Christian Relief and Development NGO – with offices in Marsabit, Sololo, Meru , Isiolo and Nairobi seeks to recruit for the following urgent positions for the Marsabit office. –
Position Titles: Maternal Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) Officers
Reporting to: Health and Nutrition Coordinator
Contract Period: January to 30th June 2014

Duties and Responsibilities
- Modify dietary assessment forms by incorporating local terminology, feeding practices and locally consumed food
- Train and supervise the enumerators and field workers applying dietary assessment methods during the application of the ProPAN manual
- Provide nutritional expertise during the development of behavioral recommendations
- Assist in the Monitoring and evaluation of the ProPAN Methodology in Marsabit county
- Interpret the results from the different data collected at the field level from Propan assessments
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Committed Christian, willing to support FH/Kenya Vision and Mission statement.
- Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or its equivalent from a recognized training institution and 2 years’ experience in Nutrition programming preferably in rural settings
- Should have a strong back ground in training communities on Nutrition and Health related issues
- Demonstrated experience in the use of ProPAN manual and data collection
