Job Title:Executive – Commercial Controller
Job Location: Mombasa
Reporting: The Commercial Controller reports directly to the Senior Manager Sales.
A leading FMCG company located in Mombasa, Kenya
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Participate in conducting internal analysis of the department by providing data related to the overall sales performance.
- Collect external environment data related to market, competition & trends.
- Gather & Share competitor information and their activities with Management.
- Ensure clients have updated price list whenever prices are revised.
- Prepare an Overall sales Performance report and share it with Team on a weekly basis.
- Drives the Financial formulation & communication of Pricing, Trade Offers and reports on the Trade Promotions appraisals.
- Find out reasons in case of lost order or in case a customer cancels and discontinues partnership.
- Ensure replenishment of stock by keeping updates of the stock position.
- Discuss client complaints and issues with HOS and resolve.
- Ensure overall performance of team is appropriate to achieve company sales targets.
- Manage performance of the team by monitoring their sales performance & Reporting.
- Trade Promotions Broadcast
Key Participatory Areas
- Participate in any meetings called by management and other department heads.
- Drives the Price & Performance review Agenda.
- Align all ATL and BTL activities required to be executed to meet the objectives of the marketing initiative and discuss it with the Commercial team.
- Coordinate with Brand Manager in formulating marketing and promotional activities.
- Provide regular (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly) feedback on the performance of products in market.
- Coordinate with CRE/Field Team and logistics in charge to insure timely delivery to customers.
- Share any new initiatives by competitors, any new product information, any suggestions from clients with team.
Prepare following Reports
- Annual Sales forecast
- Monthly Sales Performance Reports and credit report
- Weekly & Monthly Order conversion Report and Trade Promotions Reports.
Qualifications
- A degree in sales or mathematics or any other related course
- At least 3 years’ experience in the field. A background in FMCG is an added advantage.
