Background :
The Ministry of Natural Resources would like to inform the Public that it has been accredited to a Direct Access of the funds of United Nations For Climate Change Convention (UNFCCC) through Adaptation Fund, and is seeking to recruit the qualified Personnel on the vacant posts of the Project Implementation Unit :Project Coordinator, Project Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Project Agronomist Officer, Project Community Development Officer, Project Enterprise Development Officer, Project Communications Officer, Project Financial and Administrative Assistant.
1. Post number one :Project Coordinator
Duration :
Total 4 years ; following successful completion of 6 months probationary period. Duty station : Nyabihu District
Salary : Competitive
Qualifications and Experience :
- A Masters degree in Agricultural Economics, Project management, Economics, Business Administration, Agriculture, Public Administration or related discipline relevant to the Project management, with sound knowledge of Climate change management.
- A minimum of five years at a senior level in a relevant public institution, private sector or in an international organization, with proven skills in the management and coordination of internationally financed development programs.
- Familiarity with the processes of UNDP/UNEP programs will be an added value.
- The selected candidate would be expected to have a creative, energetic but pragmatic approach to problem-solving and an appreciation of the respective roles of the public and private sectors in rural economic development. Computer literate.
- Good speaking and writing ability of English is essential.
2. Post number two :Project Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Duration:
Total4 years; following successful completion of 6 months probationary period. Duty station :Nyabihu District

- A Bachelor degree in Agricultural Economics, Agriculture, Rural Development, Rural Extension, Hydrological and irrigation systems, Water Resource Management, Environment and Natural Resources or related discipline relevant to Agriculture and Livestock management.
4. Post number Four : Community Development Officer
Duration:
Total4 years ;following successful completion of 6 months probationary period. Duty station :Nyabihu District
Salary : Competitive
Qualifications and Experience :
- A Masters degree in Management, Public relations, Rural Development, Governance and Political Science and any other related field. Or A Bachelor degree in Management, Public relations, Rural Development, Governance and Political Science and any other related field with 3 years of working experience in the area of Community mobilization
5. Post number Five : Project Enterprise Development Officer
Duration:
Total4 years; following successful completion of 6 months probationary period. Duty station : Nyabihu District

Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant MSc qualification in agricultural economics, rural finance, business studies or related discipline with at least one year experience (for MSc) and/or BSc with 3 years experience in a relevant public institution,the private sector or an international organization.
- The candidate would be expected to have a thorough understanding of rural finance, business and investment. Familiarity and experience in use of accounting software would be an advantage.
6. Post number Six : Project Communications Officer
Duration:
Total 4 years ;following successful completion of 6 months probationary period. Duty station :Nyabihu District
Salary : Competitive
Qualifications and Experience
- University degree in Communication, Journalism or related fields ;
- At least 5 years working experience in communication (communication in Environment and Climate Change programs is preferable) ;
- Experience working with mass media,lV,radio,internet ;knowledge in ECC is preferred ;
- Good skills with website design and maintenance ;
- Experience working with international organizations ;
7. Post number Seven : Financial and Administrative Assistant
Duration:
Total 4 years ;following successful completion of 6 months probationary period. Duty station :Nyabihu District
Salary : Competitive
Qualifications and Experience
- At least a University Degree or equivalent related to finance, administration, Economics or procurement related fields ;
- 3 years of working experience and reporting in financial and administrative management of development projects ; if possible in complex and integrated projects or organizational structures ; Demonstrated ability to administer project budgets successfully and on time, and to track financial expenditure ;
- Very good networking and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain effective communications with different stakeholders, and arrange quality meetings and/or workshops ;
- Knowledge of the UN finance, procurement and administration policies will be an advantage ;
LANGUAGE :
Fluency in English.
