The County Public Service Board of Kilifi wishes to recruit a competent and qualified person to fill the following position pursuant to the provision of section 67 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and National Land Commission Act no.5 of 2012 section 18 sub section 2(B).
Member of Land Management Board 

(1 Post)

Applicants are invited for the membership of the County Land Management Board.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
i. Processing of the transactions to be approved by the Commission – allocation of public land, change  of user, extension of user, sub division of public land, renewal of leases, extension of leases.
ii. Inspecting of all public land allotments for adherence to planning requirements.
iii. Encouraging use of alternative and traditional dispute resolution mechanisms in land disputes.
iv. Perform any other functions designed by the Commission or by any written law.
 
Requirement for Appointment
To qualify for appointment as member of the Board, a person shall;
a) Be a citizen of Kenya and above 18 years of age.
b) Hold a degree in one of the following areas:
1. Land use planning.
2. Survey.
c) Be a physical planner or surveyor and registered by the relevant professional body.
d) Meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
e) Ordinarily be a resident of the County.
Duration of Service
The member of the County Land Management Board shall hold office for a term of five years and shall not be eligible to reappointment.
