Job Title: Commercial Manager
Job Purpose: Oversee company needs, handle daily business issues, manage company associations, and recognize business opportunities.
Communicating and negotiating with clients or business associates and continuously working to strategically expand, preserve or improve the company’s procedures, standards or policies while sticking to business edicts and regulatory guidelines.

Handle the client accounts and corporate relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maximizing business margins through good contract management and creating opportunities for maximizing revenues.
  • Develop financial models for each opportunity accounting for cost of scope and risks and in alignment with market based pricing and company objectives.
  • Articulate the company’s value proposition in line with the identified customer drivers in order to maximize the customer’s view of the company’s solution benefits.
  • Prepare targeted and strategic proposals for sales delivery.
  • Commercial Management of sales opportunities from proposal response through contract negotiations and opportunity closure.
  • Development of target proposals, financial models, contracts, and other documents necessary for company presentation and negotiation.
  • Liaise with other members of the client’s Commercial Department and other client department managers as appropriate in the formation of the client’s business development plans and participate in their implementation, as required.
  • Assist with the negotiation of terms and conditions with clients for new contracts.
  • Identify potential commercial risks and propose means to enable company to mitigate them.
  • Liaise with the client’s offices regarding day-to-day contract administration.
  • Participate in the budget process; Review budgeted profitability against Commercial Department figures.
  • Review financial performance of each contract against budget and obtain explanations for significant variance and recommend possible remedial action.
Qualifications
  • 7 years Marketing Manager / Product Development Manager experience in
  • Degree in Business and Marketing discipline
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Experience implementing branding and communication strategies
  • Required Skills
  • Proposal development along with contract development and negotiation.
  • Experienced in delivering PowerPoint presentations
  • Experience with commercial risk evaluation and mitigation strategies.
  • Experience working through a structured sales process.
  • Experience interpreting commercial and contractual risks and drivers.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful goal achievement with the ability to think on a strategic level as well as a tactical level in order to drive solutions.
  • Commercial acumen/awareness.
  • Ability to analyze costs / margins and report effectively.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Motivated self starter with tenacious ability to achieve and deliver outcomes.
  • Willingness and ability to suggest new ideas and process improvements.
