The Nation Media Group is the largest independent media house in East and Central Africa with operations in print, broadcast and digital media. It attracts and serves unparalleled audiences in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda.
We are seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Business Manager, for NTV in Television Department.
He/She will report to the Commercial Manager – NTV.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Managing a team of Business Executives coordinating NTV advertising;
- Monitoring the market trends and generating ideas for new sales and expanding the market opportunities;
- Maintaining good client service and relationship management;
- Developing and implementing sales strategies and campaigns;
- Maintaining and fostering business relationships;
- Contributing to the team goals while ensuring the achievement of the organisation’s corporate culture and values.
Knowledge, skills and experience requirements:
- Basic University Degree;
- Diploma in Sales and Marketing;
- At least 4 years’ working experience in a sales and advertising, preferably in television;
- Leadership and people management skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills;
- Superior communication and presentation skills;
- Strong understanding of lead generation;
- Ability to cultivate long standing client relationships.
