Job opportunity
Rwanda Agriculture Board would like to recruit a competent and expert Research Assistant who will work under the direct supervision of the FARA/SSA CP/LKPLS Task Force 1 Leader and Rwanda Site Focal Point, and who shall substantively contribute to the development of the results based framework and strategies for the functioning of the SSA CP Agriculture Innovation Platforms. He/she will follow up the delivery oldie project deliverables by monitoring results achieved in the implementation. –
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to stakeholders working with the project;
- Undertake field-monitoring missions to assess progress of the project implementation and provide technical support on M&E to project activities and implementing partners;
- Contribute to data collection, storage and analysis;
- Undertake the compilation of annual and quarterly reports;
- Undertake any other assignments as may be requested by the SSA CP Rwanda site Focal Point
Critical competencies
Statistical analysis skills, monitoring & evaluation, capacity development, documentation, information management and reporting, stakeeholder management, oral and written communication.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelors degree in agriculture related subjects preferably Agricultural Economics with a minimum of 3 years experience for Bachelors degree and 1 year for Master’s degree.
- Language competency: Fluency in oral and written English and Kinyarwanda.
- Computer skills: Proficiency in SPSS and/or STATA and office software applications.
