Job Description:

A Financial NGO in the process of transforming into Deposit Taking Microfinance or Microfinance Bank is seeking to fill the following vacant posts.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Rigorously see to the improvement of the image and effectiveness of the MFI innovations, and reductions in operational costs;
• Maintain the highest standards of portfolio quality;
• Ensure policies and procedures are fully implemented in all aspects of operations;
• Directly supervise branches and all members of the operations team;
• Evaluate regularly the performance of team members and control their work;
• Achieve the planned growth according to the annual plan;
• Facilitate the planning and formation of new community banks;
• Performing all other tasks as assigned by the MD in order to accomplish the mission of the institution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in economics, finance, banking business administration
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in microfinance, banking or financial services sector
• Excellent analytical, problem identification and problem solving skills;
• Extreme flexibility and ability to cope with stressful situations;
• Creativity and ability to work with limited resources;
• Ability to relate to and motivate local effectively;
• Experience with a banking software packages is a must;
