What is KMCC?

The KMCC Initiative is a DFID funded initiative which aims to improve the communication of knowledge around HIV prevention in Uganda.

KMCC intends to bring new and innovative communication ideas to partners in Uganda and demonstrate how more creative communication methods can contribute to increasing the reach and effectiveness of communication around HIV prevention.

With an overall value for money focus in all programming the KMCC communications manager will provide support in the production of regular activity and quarterly donor reporting, design/print/production of KMCC knowledge products and materials, presentation of KMCC activities at national and regional multi-stakeholder forums, capacity building contributions to national level communications and public relations forums, coordination of implementation, monitoring and reporting on all KMCC communications activities.

The KMCC communications manager will be a gregarious, proactive and dynamic personality!

Willing to work with a SMALL team to make a BIG impact!

With strong technical qualifications of masters-degree level, we are looking for someone with at least 5 years previous experience in the area of knowledge management and/or communications in a health or HIV related background with experience of new and innovative communications techniques and initiatives.

Training or mentoring experience is preferred.

This position reports to the KMCC Project Manager and is located in Kampala.
