Acorn Group, a leading Property Development Company with interests in commercial, office, retail and residential developments is looking for highly ambitious and motivated candidates to fill this position in their main office in Nairobi:

Group Business Development Manager

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the incumbent is responsible for deal evaluation, structuring and packaging.

The job holder will also be responsible for liaising with Asset Portfolio Managers to put out Investment Memoranda, progress reports on various transactions, reporting on deal pipeline, preparing and making presentations to investors, asset managers and other key stakeholders.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • To undertake Financial Feasibilities for all proposed transactions and deals the Company is contemplating entering into.
  • To evaluate the quality and quantum of deal pipeline against the business objectives to ensure a healthy pipeline of attractive deals
  • To prepare regular reports and make presentations for investor briefings and boards of directors and making the business case for new undertakings
  • To research, prepare, evaluate and recommend financial and investment models and structures that address legal, tax and investor criteria and requirements
  • To evaluate New deals to determine whether they fit into the Company’s business and investment objectives
  • To liaise with other divisions within the Group to obtain information required by our business and investment partners and keeping key stakeholders in each investment well informed on a regular basis
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate investment or related field
  • Masters in Finance or MBA or CFA qualification
  • 3 years post qualification experience in Real Estate Investment, Project Finance, Financial Investment or Asset management
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills
