Field Marketing Manager

Ref No. 2013/HR/BHC-011
Reporting to the Regional Manager- AH, the Field Marketing Manager AH for East Africa will be responsible for the implementation of growth strategies of BEA AH.
Cultivation of KOL’s within the veterinary community and training of cooperative / vet practice staff to develop the selling of Bayer AH products.
Major tasks/ duties
  • Promotion and selling of Bayer AH products to the Veterinary industry.
  • Management and training of distributor staff of product features, benefits and sales techniques.
  • Visits to Kenyan veterinary practices, agrochemical outlets and cooperatives on a regular basis.
  • Provide inputs to Animal health programs for range and product development Interaction with key customers and opinion leaders.
  • Proactively observe market dynamics and competition, provide feedback and assist in developing the marketing and sales approach accordingly.
  • Assist with and develop studies for product market acceptance.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
  • Effective planning and organizing, and attention to detail skills.
  • Proven customer focus, selling and promoting skills.
  • Effective presentation, influencing, verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English. Able to demonstrate competency in all applicable areas.
  • Willing to travel both locally and regionally.
Education /Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary related course.
  • Tertiary qualification in marketing would be advantageous.
  • Sales and distributor management experience of three years or more in veterinary environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product marketing preferably in AH or related field.
