USAID Transition Initiatives for Stabilization (TIS) program
The Transition Initiatives for Stabilization (TIS) program is funded by USAID and responds to the complex crisis that has evolved in Somalia.
The overall program goal is to mitigate conflict; to promote stability and community cohesion, and to strengthen citizens’ relationships with government officials.
TIS implements quick impact activities linked to longer-term stabilization goals.
The TIS program is currently seeking individuals or firms to provide skilled, diplomatic, effective, and highly motivated Team Building Facilitation for the TIS team building session to be held in Hargeisa, Somaliland from November 4 – 8, 2013.
Qualifications and skills sought:
- Three to five years of previous experience in facilitation roles, particularly for team building exercises.
- Experience in design and facilitation of team building activities.
- Previous experience working in Somalia highly sought.
- In addition, must be flexible, willing to perform assigned and additional duties as needed.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and an ability to manage diverse cultural backgrounds.
- English fluency required.
- Somali language fluency desirable.
- Interest and availability to travel to Somaliland.
