Job Vacancy for Creative Designer in Kenya October 2013

 

Our Client is a PR and Experiential Marketing Company currently recruiting a a Creative Designer.

To produce design solutions to communicate both internal and external client messages with high visual impact.

This includes developing creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the client’s objectives.
 

Key Responsibilities

1. Generation of Creative ideas and concepts

  • Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization and that advance our brand strategy.
  • Identify potential opportunities within or related to the projects.
  • Work with internal teams to generate ideas for pitching and proposals.
  • Meet clients or account managers to discuss the objectives and requirements of the jobs/briefs.
  • Interpret the client’s business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose.
  • Estimate the time required to complete the work and providing quotes for clients.
2. Execution of projects
  • Lead creative sessions for project kick-offs.
  • Manage multiple projects from concept through completion.
  • Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time.
  • Deals with the structure and layout of images and text in a format that meets the brief.
  • Present finalized ideas and concepts to clients or project managers.
  • Use computer software to execute designs.
3. Quality Control
  • Provide quality control over concepts and projects.
  • Proofread to produce accurate and high-quality work.
4. Database Management
  • Develop a databank of design by gathering information and data through research.
  • Arranging work in a way that they are easily accessible.
  • Keeping abreast of emerging developments in IT, particularly design programs.
  • Work with a wide range of media, including photography and computer-aided design (CAD).
5. Relationship Management
  • Work well in a team, with printers, copywriters, photographers, other designers, account managers, website designers and marketing specialists.
  • Any other ad hoc duties may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Educational & Professional qualifications required
  • Degree in a design related field or equivalent  visual design and management experience required
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in computer aided design software
  • Four years work related experience
  • A strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development, interactive commerce and creative process
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of interactive communications and delivery systems, processes and user interface design as well as industry best practices.
