Our Client, Anchor Group of Companies is a leading integrated services Company headquartered in Nyeri Town, Nyeri County and with operations in many parts of the country.
The group comprises several companies which include GM Kariuki hardware Ltd, Anchor flour Millers Ltd, Anchor feeds Ltd, Giraffe Ark Lodge and New Age Developers and Construction Company Ltd (NADCC).
As part of its continuing expansion, the company seeks to recruit qualified, experienced, energetic, enthusiastic, self-driven, and honest and trust worthy professionals to join its dynamic team on a Short Term (3 months) Internal Audit Assignment.
Audit Officers – Anchor Group of Companies

Job Description:
Overall brief
Provide Audit work analysis and support to the Entire Group of Companies.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the main duties will include but are not limited to the following;
- Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
- Report to management about asset utilization and audit results, and recommend changes in operations and financial activities.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings.
- Review data about material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income, and expenditures.
- Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions.
- Examine and evaluate financial and information systems, recommending controls to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
- Inspect cash on hand, notes receivable and payable, negotiable securities, and canceled checks to confirm records are accurate.
- Examine inventory to verify journal and ledger entries.
- Examine records and interview workers to ensure recording of transactions and compliance with laws and regulations.
Person Specifications
- Holder of CPA (II and above);
- A degree or Diploma in Management, finance or Business Management;
- Hands on Internal Audit experience of at least 2 years;
- Membership to ICPAK/ CIA/CISA;
- CIA /CISA Certification will be an added advantage;
- Proficiency in basic or specialized accounting computer software applications.
- Experience in accounting software’s like Pastel;
- Aged between 25 – 35 years;
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
