Operational Integrity (QHSE) Representative
Primary Responsibility

The Operational Integrity (QHSE) Representative position is an existing role with the main objective of ensuring technical QHSE compliance in all areas of Operational Integrity within their assigned locations of responsibility.

The key objectives of the positions are as follows

  • In cooperation with the Manager – Operational Integrity and other regional and Global staff, assist with the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the technical aspects of Operational Integrity Management System, programs and processes.
  • Serve as the local client subject matter expert for emergency management and business in continuity at the local level.
  • Provides competency-based training for the development of the client staff in delivering Operational Integrity services.
  • Provide OEL, medical e.g. internal industrial hygiene services for client (e.g. hygiene monitoring strategies, methodology, training to comply with client corporate standards and local legislation)
  • Support client Global Operational Integrity initiatives in health and hygiene e.g. OEL, medical surveillance etc.
  • Coordinate with external hygiene consultancy and analyst services and assure the quality of their deliverables.
  • Identification of Operational Integrity best practices throughout the local area of responsibility for distribution within the Best Practices Network.
  • Serve as the client subject matter representative for OIMS to staff, including:
  • Monitoring QHSE objective.
  • Assessing the local risks
  • Assisting in implementation of local QHSE procedures, work instructions and checklist as required.
  • Preparing and monitoring QHSE plans that define how the OIMS is implemented at location level.
  • Monitoring compliance to policies, standards and procedures.
  • Stay current with latest industry standards and client procedure.
  • Assist in other duties as assigned.
Travel on site to support client staff and managers on the ground within the business line throughout the assigned area of responsibility. Approximately 30% travel is expected in the first 2 years of the assignment.
The main focus for this position is placed on long term technical skill management and providing technical oversight of Operational Integrity of staff for client in the assigned locations.
Reporting To: Manager – Operational Integrity (direct reporting line)

Profile of Ideal Candidate:

Education: Science or Engineering Degree or equivalent strongly preferred; professional Health, Safety or Environment certification(s) are desirable, specifically CIH, CSP,NEBOSH or equivalent.

Languages: Fluency in English, is a must; knowledge of other languages is a plus

Professional Skills and Qualifications

  • 5 years of relevant track record or 1 year of expertise in the QHSE field
  • Familiarity with the key aspects of communications well as indirect/remote training principles and the importance of influencing skills.
  • Good understanding of business and business processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable QHSE regulation, concepts and trends and ability to understand and interpret mandatory regulations and their impact ton local operations.
  • Ability to delve into site specific details and develop solutions to complex QHSE issue.
  • Good understanding and demonstrable experience in assisting with the creation and maintenance of a positive health and safety culture, achieving the right balance between rules and values.
