AICCAD whose mission is to support the vulnerable children through Child Centered Community Development initiatives seeks to recruit dynamic and experienced persons to the positions below.
 
Monitoring & Evaluation Officer
Overall responsibilities:
  • M&E Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of an evaluation policy and plans to monitor progress, evaluate effectiveness and disseminate results of the project activities and innovations.
  • Responsible for identifying M&E needs, designing and maintaining data collection systems and for ensuring that all necessary information, from both routine reporting as well as from ad hoc data collection efforts and special studies is collected, analyzed and used in guiding internal project planning.
  • M&E is in charge of developing reporting systems and indicators to ensure quality, timely and accurate data collection, including baseline values as is appropriate to track progress in meeting program objectives.
Specific responsibilities:
  • With the project team, plan for and conduct monitoring activities and ensure accurate and timely reporting to donors.
  • In close collaboration with the project team design and submit a Performance Monitoring and Management Plan (PMP).
  • Participate in operation research and data manipulation exercises to provide evidence to improve project management.
Qualifications
  • Degree in M&E, Project Management or a relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated academic and practical skills in monitoring and evaluation of society development projects
  • Demonstrated practical skills in data analysis and report writing.
  • Excellent planning, management, and organizational skills.
Programs Coordinator
Responsibilities include:
  • Coordination and mainstreaming of programs through liaison with other programs in the organization
  • Program supervision, supportive guidance and management support to the project centres
  • Development and management of Child-centered community based development programs in the areas of operations in Kenya
  • To establish strong project implementation and monitoring systems and strengthen systems for compliance to donor requirements
  • Support and coordinate in consultation with the program managers / officers the preparation of key reports and analysis required by the donors
  • Proposal writing, mobilization of funds and/or fundraising for additional finances to support the programs
Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Project Management or relevant field
  • Demonstrated and proven knowledge of project proposal, design and report writing.
  • Excellent supervisory and administrative skills, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge on child rights and protection, HIV/AIDS and gender mainstreaming
  • High level of integrity and an affable team player
  • Should have worked in an International NGO for at least 5 years
  • Mature Kenyan with strong Christian values
Job and Business Officer (JBO)
Job & Business Officer will provide support to Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET) Program of AICCAD.
The primary responsibility aims at linking the youth trained at AICCAD TVET centers with labor market.
JBO will raise awareness on importance of youth empowerment and create business relationships with potential employers. S/he reports to TVET Centre Principal.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Facilitate job and business services for the youth. The activities will entail creation of awareness on youth empowerment activities in the community, assessment, career guidance sessions, formation of self-help groups and income generation activities both for the centre and for the target population. Similar activities will also apply to the youth from Child Sponsorship Program (CSP) centers.
  • Take lead in admission of all TVET trainees, manage and maintain documentation and records of the beneficiaries.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internships and Job placement opportunities for the youth within their project sites and youth in the Child Sponsorship Program in the assigned region.
  • Develop relevant and appropriate networks with employment Agencies, Government Departments and local companies with an aim of finding employment or business opportunities for the youth.
Qualification
  • Bachelor degree in Social science or in any other relevant fields
  • 4 years minimum experience working with youth and community empowerment programs.
  • Skills to interact with entrepreneurs, companies and business community in general, to bring in the industry’s contribution.
  • Excellent Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Excellent networking, Communication and Facilitation Skills.
  • Resource Mobilization, strong negotiation and diplomatic skills required
CCCD Project Coordinator
1 Post Based in Mavindini
The holder of this position is responsible for the project overall planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
Specific key tasks include:
  • Managing & co-coordinating community-based projects, liase with stakeholders to ensure full participation & utilization of resources
  • Project budget management and providing follow up and ensuring strategic audit procedures
  • Management of employees in the section
  • Ensuring high levels of health and safety
Person specification:
  • Degree in social sciences preferably in community development or sociology
  • A minimum of 5 years in community development project in a rural set up
  • Good understanding of project cycles including logical frame work
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills in English and Swahili
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word-processing, e-mail, Excel)
