The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) is a statutory body established under the Accountants Act, 2008 for the regulation of the profession of accountancy in Kenya.

The Institute is seeking to recruit top notch quality candidates to fill the following positions:

Senior Officer Compliance and Standards

Job responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager, Standards, the senior officer shall undertake the supportive role of responding to all accounting standards including full international financial reporting standards (IFRS and IFRS for SMEs), international public sector accounting standards (IPSAAS) international auditing standards (IAS), international accounting education standards (IAES), Financial Reporting Compliance and FiRe Award.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

First degree in Accounting (Minimum Upper Division) from a recognized university
Fully qualified CPA with ICPAK membership or eligibility to join membership prior to employment

Experience

Minimum 3 years relevant experience in accounting and/or auditing
Knowledge of various International Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing and Assurance Standards
Must be computer literate and well conversant with current ICT
Good communication skills
Good research and analytical skills
