Technical Experts — Kenya Integrated WASH Program (Kenya)
Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. (Cardno) is currently seeking Technical Specialists for an anticipated USAID – funded Kenya Integrated WASH Program (KIWASH).
The project aims to institutionalize catalytic models of sustainable service delivery and strengthen governance for resilient and sustainable management of WASH services and water resources.
KIWASH will include five components:
(1) scaled up market-based WASH service delivery models;
(2) increased access to sustainable financing and credit for WASH services;
(3) improved access to integrated WASH and nutrition services;
(4) increased environmental sustainability of WASH services; and
(5) strengthened WASH services and water resources institutions.
Long-term and short-term positions are open in the following technical areas:
- Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
- Water Resources Management
- Institutional Strengthening
- Capacity Building
- Business and Finance
- Behavior Change Communication
- Local Governance
- Gender Integration
- Monitoring and Evaluation
- Grants Management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; Master’s degree is preferred
- 7+ years of mid to senior level experience in the technical area listed above
- Experience in building team capacity, delegating working teams, and developing communities of learning among host country partners and counterparts
- Prior experience working on donor funded projects is highly desired
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in English
