MI is now looking to recruit on local contract terms the following posts:
1. Regional Adviser, Behavior Change Communication
Gross annual salary: 4 410 506 KES to 5 707 714 KES

Working as part of MI’s Technical Team, and based in the Africa Regional Office in Dakar, or possibly the Kenya or Ethiopia MI Country Offices, the position advises MI staff, MI external partners and consultants in Africa on appropriate strategies for positive behavior change relating to MI’s programs, based on responsiveness, recommended practices, theory and innovation.

The position will help MI staff and stakeholders identify opportunities to improve enabling environments and encourage care-givers to more effectively seek and use health services and have providers more effectively offer micronutrient interventions, thereby increasing the overall effectiveness and impact of MI interventions in Africa.
You have a Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: public health, nutrition, social sector program policy and planning, medical/applied anthropology or similar relevant discipline; with a focus on program communications, social marketing or similar strategies for behavior change.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the behavior change field in the health sector, with a strong preference for substantial experience in Sub-Sahara Africa and understanding of nutrition.
Solid knowledge of community development and behavioral theories that underpin effective approaches in developing effective behavior change strategies.
Expertise and experience in designing and conducting qualitative research.
Excellent knowledge of IT tools.
2. Regional Communication Officer, Africa
Gross annual salary: 2 012 637 KES to 2 838 335 KES
Based in Kenya, and reporting to the Regional Manager of External Relations, Africa, with direction and support from External Relations directorate at HQ, the Regional Communications Officer will support the implementation of corporate and regional external communications plans, create communications products, support Anglophone African countries where MI has a presence with their external relations, advocacy and communications efforts, including the coordination of communications activities and events, with the goals of: promoting increased understanding of hidden hunger, increasing awareness of MI’s African and global initiatives, and raising MI’s profile among key audiences, including donors, governments and in-country partners.
You have a Bachelors Degree in a relevant field, such as Communications, Journalism or External Relations, with a minimum of three years experience working in communications or similar field.
