A leading fuel transporter in the East African region is looking for a Procurement Assistant to be stationed in Nairobi.

Job Summary / Objective

The overall responsibility of ensuring spare parts and any other items required are available as and when requested

Duties & Responsibilities

Procure goods and vehicle spare parts efficiently and ethically;

Ensure effective control and monitoring of goods and monitor stock costs;
Develop sound partnerships with suppliers, clients and key stakeholders;

Ensure compliance and adherence to the organization’s policies, procedures, systems and statutory requirements;

Develop and manage departmental budgets; and
Ensure compliance with the organization’s Environmental Health, Safety and Quality policy
Carry out market surveys on goods and vehicle spare parts pricing
Follow up with suppliers on purchase of goods
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Management.

Job Specifications
  • Diploma in Supply chain Management , Business Management or Procurement
  • Excellent computer skills
  • 1 year working experience in similar position
  • Must be fluent in Arabic language
  • Good communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • High degree of integrity
  • Motor cycle driving license will be an added advantage
