CIT – Operations Manager
The successful candidate will be responsible to the General Manager Cash Services for the day to day operations of the cash business.
Key Responsibilities
Client liaison aimed at nurturing and retaining business.
- Degree in any social science from any recognised University.
- Solid computer competency.
- At least five years experience in cash services operations with at least two years in a senior management position.
- Must have good decision making skills and be reliable, trustworthy and person of a high level of integrity.
- Must have the capacity to provide effective leadership to the operations team and be able to deploy, train and motivate direct report staff.
The successful candidate shall be responsible to the CIT Operations Manager for the safe custody of all client cash in the vault and ensure that accurate records of all transactions are kept.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure that there is adherence to all the set procedures in cash handling at the vault.
- Ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
- Ensure that client change requirements are processed promptly.
- Ensure cash set for vault exit are readied as per set timelines vault cash receipts are opened and received under dual control.
- Minimum KCSE C Plain or equivalent with at least a C in mathematics. Graduates in any discipline shall have an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Bank or in a cash services department in the security industry.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must possess leadership skills, be honest and a person of undisputed integrity.
- Must have the ability to work long hours under pressure and without close supervision.
- Must be decisive and have the ability to handle unpredictable situations.
The cash processor shall be responsible to the CIT Operations Manager for receiving cash from both internal and external sources, processing the same and maintaining proper records of such transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring that Bank notes are sorted in line with Central Bank of Kenya criteria.
- Management of the cash bundling process as per set procedures.
- Ensuring proper and accurate cash balances by close of business every day.
- Ensuring zero client complaints in regard to cash processing.
- Minimum KCSE C Plain or equivalent.
- Three years relevant experience.
- Must be honest and a person of integrity.
- Must be able to work long hours.
- Should be 25 years and above.
