Accountant (With Travel Industry Experience)
Our client, a Tours and Travel company is looking for an accountant with Industry experience.
Job Summary
The candidate is responsible for prudently managing finances and the books of accounts as well some aspects of Administration.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Posting all accounting transactions in the accounting software
- Ensure all accounting ledgers are well updated on a daily basis i.e. debtors, suppliers, assets, petty cash etc
- Processing bank, suppliers, debtors and other ledger reconciliations
- Prepare payroll and make monthly remittances of PAYE, NHIF, NSSF etc
- Processing payments to all creditors
- Maintaining all financial records
- Providing account statements as and when required
- Manage receivables and maintain strict control of the debtors list
- Prepare management reports and present to directors
- Manage the cash flows
- Liaise with the banks
Job Requirements – Education, Skills and Experience
- At least four years relevant experience
- Must have experience working in the Travel industry
- Must have experience using a travel accounting software
- At be a CPA (K) with Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent
- Ability to manage books of accounts
- Strong analytical skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Should demonstrate unquestionable integrity, honesty and confidentiality
- Should be self-motivated, with ability to work effectively and efficiently under high pressure
- Have a good level of time management, responsiveness and resilience
- Excellent administration skills
