Revenue Assurance Analyst Job Opening in Nairobi Kenya 7th May 2014
Our client is a leading five star hotel in Kenya looking to hire a Revenue Assurance Analyst
Main Job Purposes: To support Revenue Controller in controlling revenues including all aspects of forecasting (annual budget, long-term business plan, monthly rolling budget), actual reporting and analysis as well as working with Sales and Marketing team to develop action plans to meet the company objectives
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Reporting of monthly revenues –actual and forecasts
- Variance analysis to budget and prior months
- Preparation of the Budget and Budget Update on a bi-annual basis as well as update of the Q3 reforecast
- Ownership of the Revenue Model for monthly reporting, budgeting and strategic planning purposes
- Provide input into the Revenue work stream
- Regular analysis of revenue performance for each revenue stream and communicate to sales/marketing functions
- Challenge sales/marketing functions on revenue performance and jointly develop action plans
- Guide product managers on developing business cases and review business cases
- Ensure monthly reconciliations between billing data and GL
- Maintain up to date files for audit purposes
- Implement internal/external audit recommendations
- Assist in tariff setting and tariff reviews
- Assist management in identifying revenue leakage, implementing revenue assurance action plans and putting in place relevant systems/controls
- Implement Business & Wholesale Market reporting and Enterprise Line of Business Reporting
- University Graduate in business related field
- 3 years analytical experience in a commercial environment
- Excellent skills in analytical and quantitative methods
- An eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Strong analytical and visionary skills
- Business minded approach to work
- Planning and organizational skills
- Proven track record in delivery of results
- Timely and accurate decision-making reports
- Effective, Accurate and Timely re-forecast
- Developing forecasting standards
