Our client, a well established SACCO in Nairobi wishes to recruit Credit Control Officers on 1 year Contract. Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, the successful Officers will be responsible for ensuring that all disbursed loans are recovered on time, in full.

Credit Control Officers Job Responsibilities

• To recover all fall off loans and timely reporting of variations of members’ savings and/or loan repayments through close collaboration with various employers.
• To compare expected loan repayment receivables from members with actuals
  received into the Society.
• To Identify defaulting members.
• To ensure issuance of notices or call up defaulting members regarding regularizing loans.
• To follow up members to instigate loan recovery.
• To produce monthly reports on all unrecovered loans with recommendations on the best way forward to the Credit Control Manager.
• To ensure re-feeding of fall off loans back into the recovery data.
• To Prepare demand notes to guarantors of defaulted loans for approval by the manager.
• To ensure attachment of salaries of guarantors to loan defaulters.
• To maintain accurate register of defaulters and produce monthly reports showing their actual position.
• To prepare defaulters’ listings for onward submission to Credit Reference Bureaus.
• To prepare defaulters’ listings for onward submission to the external debt collectors.

Qualifications for the Credit Control Officers Job

• A degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting or related field or CPA III or its equivalent.
• At least 3 years working experience of which at least 2 must be at supervisory
  level.
