Job for Country Sales Manager at BBOXX Capital Uganda 25th June 2014
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Meet Managing Director fortnightly to present schedule and targets of sales teams
• Meet SAs weekly: determine weekly role of each sales agent incl. targets and schedule
• Write weekly sales objectives on the flip chart so that everyone keeps track of it during the week when coming to the HQ
• Update the Excel Sheet on each SA
• Manage SA transport allowance (as per Excel)
• Take part in the sales effort by representing HQ and brand at higher profile events, radio appearances, dealings with media etc
• Report to Managing Director when extra training is required
• Manage and organise Sales and Marketing Manager schedules, objectives and targets in coordination with the appropriate Hub Manager.
• Represent the brand at relevant events in Kampala.
• Act as point of contact between Sales and Marketing Managers and the Managing Director.
• Inspire and motivate Sales and Marketing Managers.
• Implement, manage and improve the BXCU Sales and Marketing Strategy.
• Set and manage marketing budget in coordination with Managing Director.
• Research, identify and make the most of any arising opportunities (e.g. grants, tenders, awards, exhibitions, conferences, networks etc).
• Establish partnerships with NGOs and other third parties to seal nationwide or large scale deals.
Person specification:
Essential
• Bachelors in sales, marketing, retail, commerce or business
• Formal technical training in computers or information technology (I.T.)
• Honest, reliable and trustworthy character (with referees to support)
• Friendly, warm and welcoming personality
• Impeccable time management
• Efficient and responsive work ethic
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Good knowledge of local languages
• Well-connected in the Ugandan retail sector
• Creative thinking, imaginative
• Resourceful personality
• Previous work managing a large sales team
• Knowledge and familiarity of directing a sales and marketing strategy as well as the associate budget
• Previous budget management
• Previous experience of high profile event management
• Work with an international retail business
Desirable
• Diploma in one of the following fields; sales, marketing, commerce, retail or business
• Certificates of impressive sales performances, surpassing targets and achieving goals
• Master’s degree in a sales, marketing or a related field
• Good people management
• Interest in the renewable energy sector
• Experience selling solar products
• Work with computers
• Managing nationwide sales for another company or organisation.
Compensation:
The Country Sales Managers will be paid a competitive salary based on their experience and qualifications. CSMs are also entitled to a phone and transport allowance.
