Audio Technicians Jobs at Judges and Magistrate Vetting Board in Nairobi Kenya June 2014

 

The Judges and Magistrate Vetting Board was established pursuant to section 23 of the sixth schedule to the Constitution and the vetting of Judges and Magistrates Act 2011.

The objective of the board is to vet the suitability of all the Judges and Magistrates who were in office on the effective date to continue to serve in accordance with the values and principles set out in Article 10 and 159 of the constitution. 
It shall operate for another period of two (2) years up to and including 31st December 2015.
The Judges and Magistrates Vetting Board seeks to recruit officers for one year six months non-renewable contracts, to fill the following positions and a competitive salary will be offered to the successful applicants:-

Job Description: An officer at this level will be responsible for operating the public address; connecting, operating and maintaining Audio recording equipment (Mixer, amplifier and speakers; identify sound requirements for a given situation (indoor or outdoor), balance, mix ,edit and enhance pre-recorded audio, and monitor audio signals to detect sound quality; provide daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks and troubleshooting on all audio and video systems; make appropriate changes to audio and video system configurations; record hearings and maintain responsibility for microphones, projectors, lighting, and other sound equipment.

Job Specification
For appointment to this position, a candidate must have:
  • A Bachelors in Tele Communication Engineering, ICT, Electrical engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
  • At least 3 years of experience working as a Technician or Technical Training equivalent.
  • Knowledge of rear projection, LCD display, video processors, video switchers, video controllers, and DVD and Bi- amp audio equipment.
