Gender Monitoring Office (GMO) is a Public Institution with the mandate to monitor progress towards gender equality and equity with the aim of ensuring that the fundamental principles of Gender Equality are respected in all organs at governmental, private, non governmental and religious levels.
GMO would like to recruit the following staff:

1.       Job Title: Administrative Assistant to Chief Gender Monitor (CGM)(1)


Duties:
  • Management of CGM’s office and provide advice on administrative issues;
  • Identify and ensure that all logistical matters of CGM office are addressed;
  • Screen and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondences and maintain their register;
  • Receive, sort and distribute documents to different departments accordingly ;
  • Draft and or correct and proofread prepared letters;
  • Ensure timely follow up of local and international travels;
  • Schedule meetings and prepare the necessary materials;
  • Coordinate all activities related to receiving visitors of CGM;
  • Establish filing system for CGM office, update and effectively maintain correspondences and documents;
  • Take minutes at various meetings chaired by the CGM;
  • Receive and answer telephones and orient them accordingly;
  • Participate in the planning and budgeting process of the Gender Monitoring Office;
  • Submit periodical reports to the Chief Gender Monitor;
  • Performing any other task as may be assigned by Supervisor;
Job Requirements and Particularities

A0 in Public administration, Secretarial Studies and Office management

Qualification and Experience of job holder
: 3 years’ experience of related duties

2.       Job Title : Statistician(1)


Duties:
  • Provide vital information from situational analysis and undertake important recommendations for research;
  • Create a system that facilitate effective collection and correction of data, and help prevent false interpretations;
  • Provide an essential framework to be used in the collection, preparation, recording and use of statistics;
  • Conduct gender and GBV statistical analysis, and interpretation to inform policy formulation, planning and decision making;
  • Collaborate with NISR and other sectors to ensure sex disaggregated data at all level;
  • In collaboration with Technical staff, develop tools that facilitate stakeholders to harmonize and exchange gender and GBV related information;
  • Ensure regular update of the gender and GBV databank;
  • Closely collaborate with technical staff to ensure regular update of the gender and GBV indicators and baseline;
  • Provide Technical advice to GMO staff and stakeholders in area of statistics;
  • Conduct periodic gender review of DHS, EICV and other country surveys, and assessment to inform the GMO;
  • Performing any other task as may be assigned by Supervisor;
