SMEP Deposit Taking Microfinance Limited, a Christian based MFI regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya, invites applications from interested and suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions of:
Senior Tellers (2)
SNRT/8/10/HRD/2013
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Paying and receiving cash and other cash transactions across the counter
- Input customer transactions in the Banking system
- Attend to customer inquiries across the counter
- To execute control on cash within the present guidelines of the DTM and also observing branch cash limits.
- In charge of Branch Cash Position, assume the role of Chief Cashier (Keyholder / Safe Combination holder)
- Maintenance of Cash position in all auxiliary Services – Mpesa
- Handle ATM cards ,pin mailers as required
- Ensure that procedures laid down in Operations Manual are followed and proper control is in place to avoid operational losses / risks.
- Act as custodian of Cash Safe in the Vault.
- Assist in branch admin duties and other activities as assigned by manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
- AKIB/ACIB/CPA 3 or equivalent qualification. (A Bachelors Degree in any Business related field will be an added advantage)
- Two years’ experience in a busy financial institution in the same capacity is mandatory
- Must be computer literate
- Be willing to work anywhere within the country
- Must be a committed Christian
- Must be below 30 years

- Must be honest, reliable and uphold integrity.

TELL/9/10/HRD/2013
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Paying and receiving cash and other cash transactions across the counter
- Input customer transactions in the Banking system
- Attend to customer inquiries across the counter
- Cash and other transaction reconciliation
Qualifications and Experience:
- AKIB/ACIB/CPA 3 or equivalent qualification. (A Bachelors Degree in any Business related field will be an added advantage)
- One year experience in a busy financial institution in the same capacity
- Must be computer literate
- Be willing to work anywhere within the country
- Must be a committed Christian
- Must be below 30 years.
Additional skills: The candidate should possess a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail; numerical skills; reliable and honest; have knowledge in maintaining positive customer relations; also excellent spoken and written communication skills
