Machine Drivers Job at Sheer Logic

(Backhoe, Motor Grader, Wheel Loader, Rollers, Tipper Truck, Water Boozer, Pick Up)

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the above construction equipment. The operator is proficient in the use of diverse range of construction equipment including, backhoe, excavators, graders, loaders, rollers and other pieces of equipment

Roles for the Machine Drivers Job

• Capable of operating multiple pieces of construction equipment used in roads and infrastructure construction
• Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, clean, lubricate and refill the equipment as necessary
• Maneuver heavy equipment into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed, check that the vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment of property positioned
• Use various pieces of equipment to perform fin grading and finishing, sloping, banking, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating and stock piling
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operations of the equipment
• Train new employees safe and efficient operation of construction equipment
• Perform other construction duties as required
• Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections
• Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself or endanger the well being of others
• Promote team approach, participate and collaborate with all project teams to achieve project success ( completion of works on time, schedule and budget)

Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Reporting

• Ensure timely and appropriate reporting to the Construction Engineer
