Membership Services Officer Job at Kenya National Chamber of Commerce                        

Reports to: Communication & Membership Manager

Contract:  3 Years Renewable

Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) was established in 1965 as a business membership organization with a   mandate to protect and develop the interests of the business community in Kenya. KNCCI is also an affiliate member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) & the World Chamber Federation (WCF). As a Membership Services Officer, your duties will be responsible for all activities relating to growth and retention of the Chamber members by offering quality and timely services. This includes Implementation of the membership services strategy plan as well as Implement membership retention strategy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement membership services strategy plan
  • Implement membership retention strategy
  • Responsible for data management of Chamber member accounts as well as others included in the database
  • Closely monitor and evaluate industry trends on local and international issues impacting on Chamber’s membership growth
  • Actively support and participate in Chamber events and programs
  • Represents the Chamber in relevant stakeholder -member sessions.
  • Identify and develop networks with relevant stakeholders
  • Implement the networking strategy
  • Organize membership networking events e.g. breakfast meeting, roundtables etc.
  • Assist in carrying out membership satisfaction survey.
  • Identify and develop networks with Chamber members. Nurture relationships with key stakeholders
  • Disseminate documented case studies from networking and program interventions
  • Participate and contribute in resource mobilization
  • Generate reports as per the institutional requirements

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Sales & Marketing or related field.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in undertaking in Sales & Marketing and/ or communication strategy implementation
  • Very Strong Communication and presentation skills and experience including proficiency in Power point
  • Passion/interest in business sector issues
  • Experience in market research and innovation projects, communication and promotional activities will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Exhibit a total commitment to maintaining high quality service standards of KNCCI; demonstrate service excellence skills in dealing proactively with members and all KNCCI
  • Ability to thrive in a network organization;
