Responsibilities for the Video Producer Job

• Undertake all video shooting Projects
• Undertake all video editing projects
• Ensure that quality and consistency of production is maintained for all jobs
• Ensure that all video production equipment (Cameras, cables, microphones, editing machines, camera stands, microphone stands, reflectors etc) are in good working condition.
• Attend client briefing meetings to properly understand projects before shoots
• Develop pre-production scripts for all jobs
• Ensure that all jobs have a well detailed job card signed by client/management before commencement
• Supervise any short term video consultants engaged for specific projects to ensure that they maintain the quality and consistency needed for excellent productions
• Ensure that all video production equipment and their carry bags or cases are clean and properly stored away
• Develop marketing video clips for the company for use in the website, office and during promotional activities such as exhibitions, corporate sponsorship events, etc
• Develop a portfolio of Niusline Media Ltd previous video works for marketing purposes
• Develop an up to date documentary on the activities of the company for marketing purposes
• Maintain a well organized video library for the company complete with a well organized database for ease of reference
• Develop a checklist for a video shoot that will be used to guide all productions
• Develop and maintain an video equipment inventory showing who accessed equipment, their current condition, and date when equipment is returned
• Ensure that there is no backlog of unedited material occupying space in the computers
• Advice the management on current video production trends, equipment etc that need to be incorporated into the company to enhance production and delivery

Qualifications for the Video Producer Job

• Be honest,trustworthy and reliable

• Be capable of working under minimum supervision
• Be creative
• Have a keen eye
• Be fluent to speak and write in Swahili and English
• Be able to take instructions and implement them correctly

• Be capable of fitting into a formal office environment
• Have experience working Final Cut,Avid, Adobe Suite Products like CS6 and other video related software
• Have a portfolio of videos produced in the last 3 months
• Have experience using HDV NX series cameras or higher
• Have at least 3 years of Graphic Design experience in a busy environment
• Understand digital printing procedures
• Posses a Diploma in Television,Film or Video production
• Have experience working with Konica Minolta Bizhub printers
• Additional technical training in graphic design will be an added advantage
• Be ready to undertake a practical graphic design test during interview
• Be capable of fitting into a formal office environment
