The Corporation seeks fill vacancies for its Food Processing Factories located at Gilgil, Nakuru County. Responsibilities for the Agricultural Extension Officer Job

• Visit and encourage farm managers to adopt best practice techniques by providing exposure to new knowledge, information, skills, inputs and processes.
• Assess individual properties and making technical recommendations for improved production and sustainability.
• Collaborate with County Agriculture authorities, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and other relevant agencies/organizations in development and research trials.
• Identify and interpret current research needs for regional communities and enterprises.
• Organize and manage field days, speak at grower groups, write fact sheets and give reports.
• Collaborate with production staff to ensure traceability of finished products.

Requirements for the Agricultural Extension Officer Job

• Higher National Diploma in Agriculture/Horticulture or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• 2 years experience in extension services.
• Driver class G/F an added advantage.
• A certificate in Computer application.
