Job title: Security Assistant

Salary: 20,000 – 25,000 gross plus overtime allowances
Our client is a sole distributor of global consumer electronics brands in East Africa.
The have a chain of retail shops across the country that sells home appliances, kitchen appliances, entertainment equipment etc.
They seek to hire a Security assistant who will report to the Senior Manager ICT & security and oversee day to day safety and security operations
Duties and Responsibilities
- General observation of staff movement, customers and company property
- Checking supporting documents for all goods going out to ensure that they are correctly charged and authorized
- Confirming that the gate pass is as per the supporting documentation
- Keeping a separate log of items going out for exhibitions and following up to ensure that they have been returned
- Supervise and help security officer to check and control movement of visitors in and out of the offices and Showroom
- Checking physically all the goods returned to ensure that they have been received as shown in the accompanying documents
- Provide flashbacks on CCTV as and when required
- Carry out investigations on missing and damaged items
- Follow up on returned items to ensure that they have been replaced/ repaired accordingly
- Liaising with the police and on all fraud/theft cases
- Attend court hearings on behalf of the company
- Ensuring that appropriate security measures are put in place to avoid any loss of property
- Supervision of outsourced guards
- Preparing incident reports and keeping logs
Qualifications
- Minimum diploma in related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a security officer, a guard in supervisory level
- Ideal candidate should be a resident of Mombasa
- Good analytical skills
- Good command in English both written and Verbal
- Computer literate
- Knowledge in surveillance
- Good personal and customer relations skills
