Duma Works is recruiting a Front- End JavaScript Engineer for one of our clients.
The company is a US based technology company that offers a multi-platform solution for publishing and managing digital content.
They provide clients with managed websites and digital applications, and proprietary content management systems that allows them to handle their content across all of their digital assets.
Location: Nairobi
The candidates role will be to develop consumer facing web and mobile-based solutions, and to build elegant yet powerful user experiences.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 1-3 years experience developing, optimizing, and deploying scalable, performant JavaScript applications.
- Knowledge of modern standards and best practices for HTML5 and CSS3.
- Knowledge of version control, preferably git and the git-flow methodology.
- Familiarity with asset pipelines, build tools (gulp), testing and continuous integration.
- Experience working with Bootstrap and SASS is a plus.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs is a plus.
- Functional server-side knowledge (PHP, MySQL) is a plus.
- Experience developing mobile apps (iOS, Android, mobile web) is a plus.
