Job Vacancy: Technical Field Sales Representative
This role will primarily require the candidate to manage the health and production of the Company farmers via provision of extension services and animal health services to our farmers.
This position will also be pivotal in the creation and maintenance of the company’s customer database.
Outline of Job Card
- Attend to farmers with technical issues
- Farm visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers
- Planning of daily programs and making follow ups on duties delegated
- Develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers
- Advice, support and train on startup farmers until they are able to stand on their own
- Attend to clinical cases for animals e.g. post Mortem and vaccination administration
- Update the company management on feeds performance at any given time
- Link sales representatives to potential customers
- Provide market intelligence to the sales director and sales manager
- Any other duties that may be assigned to you by your superiors
- Provide training every to the field sales team as required; which includes preparing presentations on various topics at least twice a month on various topics e.g. common livestock illnesses
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
- Advanced research skills
- Good analytical and creative problem solving skills
- “People person” who is confident and has a positive personality
- Strong organizational and time management skills are critical – must adhere to deadlines, multi-task and be able to prioritize
- Ability to work both independently, with minimal supervision, and in a team environment
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office packages
- Exceptional work ethic, with strong values and principles – takes all opportunities to go above and beyond the basic expectations
- An absolute and unshaken-able commitment to customer service and servitude
- A positive attitude and open mind that approaches problems from all angles
- A Diploma in Animal Health management or related field
- Sales acumen
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to Work with minimum supervision
- Above 23 years of age
