Vacancy: Golf Course Superintendent
Veterinary Laboratory Sports Club wishes to recruit for the above position for its 18 – Hole Golf Course at Upper Kabete.
Job Summary: To take overall charge of the Course Management function under the Club’s Greenkeeper and the Board of Directors, with the objective of maintaining a high quality golf course.
This entails implementing operational plans as directed by the Golf Committee, managing a workforce of some 35 employees and overseeing the use and maintenance of a range of golf course equipment, as well consumable supplies.
Qualifications and Experience
- The successful candidate will be a university graduate in horticulture, agriculture or agronomy. Specific additional training in turf management will be an advantage.
- Previous experience of at least 2 (two) years in a similar position will be required. Such experience should cover routine operations on greens, fairways, bunkers, as well as irrigation of the course and application of fertilizers and pesticides.
