We seek to recruit Head of Operations, Fleet and Logistics Manager (40 Years of Age and above)
The candidate will be responsible to grow a small business to a large profitable organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and sustaining a targeted long-term business strategy that fosters revenue growth
  • Ensure fleet availability to meet all requests by scheduling, forecasting and surveying current user trends.
  • Forecasting demand by utilizing fleet information and software modeling in order to adjust operations accordingly
  • Business development – Identifying and assessing a client’s critical needs and creation of value proposition
  • Generating leads and delivering against set revenue targets.
  • Create periodic forecasts on revenue/target management and end of month reports on revenue and market performance
  • Negotiating rates and development of service level agreements with suppliers, distributors and subcontractors with the aim of controlling costs and ensure optimal service.
  • Using the latest tracking software to document, track and locate stock being delivered. This include Supply Chain Integrator (SCI)
  • Leading and developing a workforce team to ensure optimal performance by entrenching a culture of performance management amongst employees
  • Ensuring HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) standards are upheld as per company policy
  • Entrenching a culture of safety, health and environment protection among workforce
  • Ensuring training and periodic audits are made on health and safety standards
  • Ensuring security of personnel goods and assets
  • Training – Ensuring driver evaluation, training and continuous evaluation is done
  • Policies and procedures – Developing clear policies and procedures that shall ensure strong internal controls.
  • Monitor and ensure fleet operations are in compliance with local and state rules and regulations
  • Maintain electronic databases of sales, registration, inspections and maintenance of vehicles and equipment
  • Maintain and monitor data management system to organize fleets as per various schedules and requests.
  • Streamline and monitor fuel purchase system with assistance of Fuel Cards for all vehicles and drivers.
  • Develop and implement operational standards to maintain vehicles by advocating best practices in industry.
  • Plan, process and execute vehicle purchases and vehicle replacement through efficient settlement.
  • Plan and prepare monthly budget estimates on fleet expenditures and analyze all financial objectives and the returns expected
  • Facilitate and implement corrective actions and capacity building to manage entire fleet to achieve company objectives.
Competence Requirements
  • Interpersonal skills to create and maintain relevant business networks; and to effectively communicate with and manage customer expectations (internal and external), and other stakeholders who impact performance.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain Management and Transport & Logistics Operational Systems
  • Good understanding of all relevant legal compliance and fleet controls
  • Experience in effectively operating in a high volume service driven transport operation
  • Qualifications on Health, Safety and Environment with bias in Fleet Management
  • Technical skills in Supply Chain and Logistics IT solutions.
  • Ability to plan and organize self and work in order to achieve objectives and targets and is determined to and accountable for the delivery of outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Management (bias in logistics and Supply Chain Management an added advantage)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior role in Fleet Operations and Logistics for an established Company in the industry
Monthly Gross Salary: Competitive remuneration depending on qualification and experience
