Sales Representative
The purpose of this job is to contribute to the success of the company by implementing the company’s strategy to achieve regional sales growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Keep abreast with current market trends, monitor customer activities and gather market information, grow customer base, customer accounts, debt collection and deliver sales budget.
  • Carry out market surveys and sales trends reviews to identify customer needs relative to existing products and new products requirements.
  • Provide input to and implement the retail and channel strategies to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Provide input on strategic direction to ensure successful, implementation and execution of marketing programs.
  • Champion change to support the company’s expansion programme.
  • Maintain existing business, through understanding of customer requirements, measure and monitor improvements to service levels provided to customers
  • Plan regular visits to customers and prepare clear objectives for visits by reviewing business reports, products used and organizing safety audits.
  • Continually focus on improvement of business performance, secure long term supply agreements with major customers and monitor performance against sales plans and targets.
  • Optimise corporate policies and procedures to ensure effective management of key controllable expenses.
  • Ensure delivery of superior customer service.
The successful candidate will be in possession of a tertiary and post graduate qualification.
It is essential that applicants have experience in technical selling.
The person will demonstrate skills in customer service delivery, business acumen, financial acumen, people management, key account management, strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, advanced computer skills and presentation skills.
Specific knowledge required includes sales techniques, marketing techniques and negotiating strategies.
 
Accounts Receivable Specialist
The purpose of this role is to proactively follow payment of outstanding invoices and to ensure credit allocated to customers is monitored and controlled effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize cash flow by reducing debtor days in line with company’s policies and procedures.
  • Follow up customer debts by telephone, via email and physical visits.
  • Allocate payments in accordance with customer remittances and reconciling debtor balances to customers’ records.
  • Process and generate reminder letters and monthly statements.
  • Investigate and resolve queries on customer accounts, while liaising with the sales, customer service and operations teams.
  • Report to management on a daily/periodic basis
  • Work to strict collection targets and processing credit applications.
The successful candidate should demonstrate experience in dealing with customers, excellent communication skills with ability to work independently and in a team environment, pleasant but firm personality, high aptitude, result-oriented; demonstrate initiative and patience when faced with challenges.
Applicants should have university degree with 3 years credit management experience in a busy work environment and professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA).
Good spreadsheet skills, knowledge of computerized accounting systems and attention to detail is a requirement.
