Vacancy: Strategic Marketing & Communications Manager
Stawi Foods & Fruits is an award-winning food processing manufacturer of nutritious flours for the local and export markets.
We produce porridge flour for the local market and gluten-free banana flour for export.
We have two porridge flour products for children and family that are nutritious and target middle and upper class Kenyans.
We sell our products through supermarkets in both urban and upcountry markets.

The Strategic Marketing & Communications Manager plays an integral role to execute a communications strategy, messaging, campaigns, and materials that extend Stawi’s reach and reputation.

This is a role for someone who loves details and who demonstrates obsessive attention to every aspect of the marketing and communications portfolio, including writing, design, website, social media, and broader questions about strategic position, message, and vision.
While this is a high-level, managerial role working with sales and merchandising representatives, the successful candidate loves creating and doing, as much as directing and guiding others.
The environment is that of a startup, and the reality is that of a rapidly growing social impact-minded business with nothing less than transformational goals.
We are looking for someone brilliant, incredibly resourceful, flexible with shifting priorities, and able to juggle not only a formidable workload, but a wide range of functional skills. Marketing, content, and strategy use different parts of the brain, and the Marketing & Communications Manager is an expert at deploying all three.

The position requires the brain of a marketing mastermind, excellent writing skills, knowledge of graphic design principles, significant digital project management experience, a highly collaborative style, and ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

If you’ve never been told you’re obsessively detail-oriented, this position is probably not for you.
