FMCGs Company Credit Controller Job Opportunity in Mombasa Kenya April 2015
Our Client a leading FMCGs company in East Africa is seeking to hire a Credit Controller.
The Credit Controller will be responsible for to supporting debt recovery/ commercial collections and credit management.
Duties & Responsibilities
Accounts Receivables
- Assess and evaluate new accounts and prepare credit applications
- Obtain necessary documentations and check with credit reference bureau for all new accounts and annually
- Make sure all accounts are duly authorized.
- Open new accounts in Procars and SAP
- To ensure that payments received are posted in receivable ledge on the same day and allocate to specified invoice(s)
- To ensure that customer statements are up to date and regularly mailed to them
- Reconciliation of customers accounts are kept to date. Any discrepancies are reported and sorted out.
General work related to Procars/SAP
- Generate and post interface and report all errors and ensure same are corrected.
- Make sure all Master data is regularly updated and required information report processed on monthly basis and filed off.
- Regular monitoring of accounts and follow up all overdue accounts. Alert accounts going above limit and overdue to respective heads of departments for necessary action.
- Generate bad debts provision report on by weekly ( not to post) and at month end report all deviations
- By weekly aging report to respective heads of department for follow up
- Generate turn over reports for management information systems
- Ensure Debtors which have supplier accounts are regularly monitored and any contra is properly agreed with respective supplier and documented before making contra
- All reporting must be on timely basis
Position Requirements
- Credit Control management
- Attention to details and data analysis
- Customer care
Qualifications
- A degree in business related field
- Must have at least CPA 3 qualification
- 3 years experience as a credit controller
- Experience in the FMCGs industry
