Our client, a leading ICT conglomerate, is looking to hire a Business Development Manager.

The Business Development Manager will be required to act as an ambassador of the company in its entirety, be entrepreneurial in spirit and will be responsible for generating new business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed revenue targets by developing relationships within targeted customers.
  • Engage with customers at executive level (MD, FC and ICT Manager Level), to understand their communication needs and leverage the company’s services to meet the customer’s business needs and to grow relationships with a longer term focus.
  • Develop and manage new business sales plans:
  • Develop and manage targeted marketing activities with the Marketing department
  • Generate leads from existing and new contacts
  • Create and manage sales pipeline and achieve pipeline conversion to sales targets.
  • Prepare quotes and proposals
  • Track and chase orders and collections
  • Achieve closure of new and existing accounts
  • Know all processes and how to use all systems relevant to the position
  • Attend all training on existing or new services offered by the company
  • Keep up to date with industry trends
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business or IT
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in business development management within the ISP industry
  • Proven over achievement of sales targets
  • Computer literate with strong MS Office skills
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and customer relation skills
  • Proven solution selling or consultative sales skills with work involving high levels of documentation
  • Fast learner of new systems and solutions and able to build relationships internally and externally
  • Focused self-starter with attention to detail and able to follow through on process
  • Work independently as well as within a team using initiative
  • Self- motivated, hardworking, sociable, and driven by professional success
Remuneration: The salary for this position is competitive and negotiable dependent on experience and demonstrable contribution.
