Senior Systems Administrator – Network

Ref: HRD/ODA/01/15

Reporting to the ICT Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for technical support of the LAN/WAN/Wireless networks including:-

Assisting in planning and implementing ICT strategy for the hospital that ensures effective use of the ICT systems.
Supervising Systems Administrators handling ICT infrastructure support
Monitoring 3rd party Service Providers as per SLA
Technical support of the Local/Wide Area/Wireless Networks.
Evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput and latency.
Implementing ICT security network policies and procedures.
Ensuring that the Hospital’s ICT environment is secure.
Installation, configuration and testing of equipment.
Maintaining network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning.

Qualification, Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
CCNP.
ICT Security certification and experience with IP telephony systems (VoIP) will be added advantage.
7 years hands on experience, two of which should be at supervisory level.
Leadership skills.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Good communication skills.
