Services required:

• Based on technical design inputs provided by TIH, and site visits to proposed office location, develop complete technical designs, including specifications, engineering drawings, and bill of quantities for office construction. These designs will be used by TIH for tendering construction firms in Nairobi.
• Identify any permitting requirements and provide permitting reviews and assistance.
• Provide engineering cost estimates, including priced Bill of Quantities, for construction activities.
• Ensure construction complies with host country environmental regulations and include any environmental mitigation measures in the design.
• Monitor construction progress and, in coordination with TIH technical representatives, provide technical oversight of the construction work, routine inspection, and quality control assurances.
• Coordinate and lead the technical portions of the construction pre-bidders conference prior to the construction tender.
• Participate in the bid evaluation committee meetings.
• Supervise the construction subcontractor, certifying measurements, deliverables, reviewing Change Order Requests, interpreting the subcontract appendices, rejecting or accepting materials used, review of all deliverables under the subcontract, and other duties as may be assigned.

• Brief company profile, including history and qualifications of key personnel – no more than 5 pages.
• At least 3 past and/or current client references from within the past 3 years. The successful bidder will have significant demonstrated experience in architectural design, engineering, and construction oversight.
• Attach a copy of the firm’s legal registration to operate in Kenya.
• A commitment in writing to refund VAT paid, once approved DA1 forms have been delivered to the vendor.
