Exciting Farm Manager opportunity at Somaliland Beverage Industries
Our client, the GSK group is the biggest conglomerate of companies in Djibouti with over 20 companies under its umbrella and with presence in Djibouti, Somaliland and Dubai.
Through its Human Resource Company – Grow, GSK Group is seeking for a Farm Manager for Somaliland Beverage Industries fruit farm.
Farm Manager – Somaliland Beverages (Turkish Nationality)

Location: Somaliland – Hargeisa / Jalelo
Preferred: Preferably Turkish Nationality or Lebanese, Greek, Albanian, East Europeans
Job description;
- Work as part of a team towards the same goal – that’s producing the highest quality fruit possible
- Follow very carefully the instructions and guidance laid out to successfully cultivate (grow and nurture) fruit
- Supervise and implement the spraying programmes (water, pesticides and nutrients) in the farm
- Follow closely the strict Somaliland beverages guidance relating to food safety, pesticides, health and safety rules, and environment protection
- Check the quality and freshness of the fruit right up to moment it’s sent off to the warehouse
- Use a forklift truck to move the fruit around the farm and into boxes
- Keep the fruit farm clean and tidy for visitors, and ensure that farming operations run smoothly and efficiently
- Monitor farm equipment, flagging any faults or problems you discover
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records about everything that happens at the farm or vineyard, including checking equipment and noting the quantity of fruit produced
- Be on-hand to get involved with anything that needs doing around the farm, as and when the situation demands
Skills and experience
- Agricultural diploma or bachelor’s degree in agriculture, natural resources, plant science, horticulture or a related field is preferred.
- 5 years’ experience in subtropical fruit farming.
- Enthusiastic and energetic for outdoor work
- Computer literate, strong admin skills, good in problem solving, good interpersonal relationships, financial management skills, must be a communicator
