The Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi, (AKUH,N) a premier tertiary teaching hospital, is fast growing with a network of over 40 multi-site medical centers in East Africa and a state-of-the-art Heart and Cancer Centre in Nairobi.

General Ledger Inventory Accountant
 
Reporting to the Coordinator Payables, the General Ledger Inventory Accountant will manage inventory to ensure control and policies regarding inventory are adhered to in order to achieve the hospital’s objective of providing high quality patient healthcare. 

S/he will carry out monthly reconciliation of stock values between care and scala taking in to account the stock in transit; ensure interface reconciliation; carry out Stock and consignment count as well as preparation of Audit schedule and control accounts. 

The incumbent will oversee proper reconciliation and support for the entries and accrual and reversal of freight charges and invoices relating to foreign GRN. 
In addition S/He will conduct random counts and consolidate reports highlighting weaknesses and giving recommendations

Applicants must have a Bachelors Degree in Finance and possess CPA/ ACCA finalist certification. 
S/He should have at least three years’ experience in a busy accounting office.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in MS office and Accounting systems. 
S/He should have attention to detail, good communication skills and be of high integrity.
