The Catholic Diocese of Nakuru (CDN) – Radio Amani 88.3FM Nakuru, wishes to recruit a highly motivated and competent individual to fill the position of an Advertising Executive
The Radio Advertising Sales Executive is responsible for generating the income for the radio station from advertising sales and sponsoring programmes. This primarily involves selling the benefits of Radio as an advertising medium, to companies, institutions and individual clients.
Key Responsibility
- The Advertising Sales Executive will be responsible for maintaining and growing advertising revenues for the radio station from new and existing clients in the region.
- Advertising Sales Executive prime objective is to achieve agreed revenue targets on a regular basis.
Key Results Areas
- Assist the Head of Sales and Marketing in the general day to day sales of the radio products.
- Maintain assigned existing clients while locating and contacting potential clients to offer advertising services.
- Explain to customers how specific types of advertising and time for advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible.
- Provide clients with estimates of the costs of advertising products or services and inform customers of available options for advertisement.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to new and existing customers to sell new advertising programs, and to protect and increase existing advertising.
- Deliver advertisement samples to clients for approval and process all the correspondence and paperwork related to the client.
- Prepare promotional plans, sales literature, draw up contracts for advertising work, and collect payments due.
Qualifications & Experience
- A diploma in Sales and Marketing from a recognized college or university.
- At least 2 years’ experience in advertising sales and marketing, especially from a media/ advertising sector.
- Alternatively an experienced sales person (minimum 2 years) looking to break into Radio advertising sales.
- Excellent, interpersonal communication, report writing, self motivated and computer skills with a good track record of the same.
