Our client, Quintech Construction Ltd, a reputable Nairobi based construction firm with over 10 years experience in the industry is seeking to improve its operations by engaging qualified Kenyans to fill the following positions:
Projects Manager
Roles
- Manage project costs to ensure that profit margins are defended or increased
- Filling in building tender documents and ensuring the tenders are delivered on time
- Leading the implementation of all projects by preparing detailed schedules and ensuring availability of all required resources
- Leading in project implementation including commissioning, continuous evaluation and reporting
- Monitoring and reviewing progress and performance of projects to meet plan objects
- Monitor and supervise subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the adhere to the set guidelines
- Identify, implement and benchmarking best practices
- Developing, training, supervising and motivating the projects team including site supervisors, warehouse supervisors and workers to achieve the highest levels of performance
- Ensuring delivery of exceptional customer experience by handling queries at the project site
- Schedule meeting with project implementation team to ensure proper workflow and timelines
- Monitor use of company resources at project sites.
Entry Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Quantity Survey or Construction Management from a recognized college in Kenya
- Diploma in project management will be an added advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in computer applications
- Have at least 3 years experience in the same capacity in a busy in the construction firm.
Salary Starting: Gross Ksh 60,000 with benefits
Projects Engineer Trainee
Roles
- Supervision of civil and structural works
- Liaison with Project Manager to ensure that work is accurately and properly done on site
- Monitoring and reviewing progress and performance of projects to meet plan objects
- Assist the Projects Manager in monitoring and supervising subcontractors to ensure the adhere to the set work guidelines
- Assist in measuring and valuation of works done
- Work with consultants to ensure that works are delivered as per clients expectations
- Assist the Projects Manager in filling in bills of quantities and specifications for engineering works
- Ensuring delivery of exceptional customer experience by handling queries at the project sites
- Assist the company in monitoring use of company resources at project sites.
Entry Requirements
- Fresh graduate or awaiting graduation from a reputable institution
- MUST have studied Bachelors Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Excellent academic performance
- Exposure to IT and design and engineering software such as Autocad will be an asset
- Background in steel, wood, concrete and masonry works will be an asset
Salary: Gross Ksh 40,000
