Vacancy: Key Account Manager – Projects
The Organisation: Our client is a multinational organisation, headquartered in Europe and with operations across Europe, Americas, Asia Pacific, Middle East, India and Africa.  
The organisation manufactures, sells and distributes decorative paints and performance coatings, for both interior and exterior purposes.
 
Job Purpose: Reporting to the Country Manager, this role is responsible for promoting and selling mainly Decorative products in the project segments to specified, potential and corporate customers by introducing new products and monitoring their projects. 
Achieve budgeted sales, gross margin, DSO and increase market shares.

Key Results Areas

  • Plan, manage and monitor the sales activities to achieve planned targets.
  • Play a key role in getting specifications to secure major projects
  • Follow up closely on projects in allocated geographical areas to ensure the organisation’s products are used and to achieve sales budget.
  • Organise paint school seminars for key customers to improve brand awareness of new
  • products /application techniques and in return improve the customer relationship to ensure
  • profitability and increase in market share.
  • Maintain DSO by following up with customers and making sure collection is done on time.
  • Keep customer contact by performing regular visits, responding to enquiries on new products and proper painting systems to achieve sales budget.
  • Create new customers by planning, frequent visits to potential customers and attending to mail and quotation to increase market shares.
  • Follow up on the team to maintain proper pricing and customer selection to achieve required gross margin.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the sales, collection and gross margin
  • Plan and create new customers by frequent follow up
  • Visit existing and potential customers
  • Follow up projects, meet contractors, consultants.
  • Service projects secured through paint contractors
  • Create monthly sales and collection reports for follow ups
  • Create, maintain and use the CRM system
  • Co-operate with Customer Service department to ensure timely delivery of items.
Education & Experience
  • A Bachelors degree in Sales/Marketing or a business related discipline. 
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience in Sales/ Marketing in a similar role within the Paint industry.
  • Knowledge and experience with CRM systems is essential.
