IT Help Desk Support Engineer
Location: Nairobi
Nature of Job: Part Time

Our client a leading in global Information Technology Services Company serving a loyal and expanding corporate client base. 

The company seeks to recruit an ideal candidate who has great communication skills and a passion for technology. 
You should be well presented and comfortable working in business attire within a corporate environment. 
The candidate should also be able to work for 4 hours per day, 5 days per week in Nairobi
 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Key responsibility is to build, configure and roll out client computing devices, including desktop PCs, laptops, printers and other peripheral equipment.
  • Monitoring and assisting with upgrades and new hardware application roll-outs (including CPU, RAM and GPU’s.
  • Occasionally support with end-user calls, logging incidents onto the system and working with users to resolve their technical problems
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
  • Works under immediate supervision.
  • Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
  • Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
Qualification and Experience
  • Individual must have at least 3-5 years experience in a similar support role.  Experience in troubleshooting PC related problems either via phone, remote tools or desktop support.
  • Good working knowledge of Windows 7
  • Working knowledge of current and legacy hardware platforms. Familiar with building, configuring and troubleshooting PC hardware components.
  • Working knowledge of Windows 2000/XP and related Office applications.
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP standards and networking.
