The Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority (UFAA) is a State Corporation established under the National Treasury pursuant to the Unclaimed Financial Assets Act No. 40 of 2011. 
The primary mandate of the Authority is to obtain unclaimed financial assets from the holders of such assets on behalf of the Government, safeguard and re-unite the assets with their rightful owners. 
UFAA would like to invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position:

Job Profile
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, s/he will be responsible for:
  • Coordinating financial functions of the Authority and ensuring compliance with financial standards and regulations for operational excellence of the Authority
  • Coordinating the budget formulation, preparation, execution, accounting and reporting
  • Ensuring appropriate and adequate financial management policies and information systems are in place
  • Advising the Authority on all accounting and financial matters
  • Designing and developing the Authority’s accounting and financial systems
Person Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance from a University recognized by the Commission for University Education
  • Masters degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Management or any other relevant field
  • CPA (K) / ACCA holder and Membership to a relevant professional body
  • Competence with computerized accounting packages
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant professional experience, 3 of which must be at senior management position
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in government / public sector financial systems will be an added advantage
Terms and Conditions
  • Successful candidates for the above positions will be offered a competitive remuneration package.
  • Appointments will be for a contractual period of four (4) years renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
  • All applicants should attach the following documents with their applications: clearance certificates from Kenya Revenue Authority, Higher Education Loans Board, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, and a certificate of good conduct from the Criminal Investigations Departments.
